1. Leading Smartphones in 2024: iPhone 15 Pro Max

The iPhone 15 Pro Max is the best iPhone, featuring titanium sides, the powerful A17 chip, and an improved camera. In Pakistan it is selling within the price range of  Rs. 490,000 to Rs. 899,999.

Camera: The iPhone 15 Pro Max excels in camera quality, especially with its improved telephoto lens that offers 5x zoom. It also performs exceptionally well in low-light conditions. However, the Galaxy S24 Ultra still has a better zoom feature, though overall, we think the iPhone 15 Pro Max has the best camera.

Battery: The iPhone 15 Pro Max offers over 14 hours of battery life, but its 27W wired and 15W wireless charging speeds remain slow.

Performance: While Qualcomm's Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chip beats the iPhone in some tests, the A17 Pro chip in the iPhone 15 Pro Max is still very fast. You'll notice the speed in everyday tasks and app switching. Although Snapdragon has made gains in graphics, the iPhone 15 Pro Max still outperforms the latest Galaxy device in real-world tasks like video editing. 

The iPhone 15 Pro Max is a top choice for design, photography, and performance. While its charging speed and digital zoom could be better, and it is quite expensive, it's still an outstanding device that's worth upgrading to.

2. Leading Smartphones in 2024: Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra

The Galaxy S24 Ultra delivers the ultimate Android experience with a faster processor, brighter display, better cameras, and AI for tasks like translation, transcription, and summarizing. It is available in Pakistan within the price range of  Rs. 399,999 to Rs. 434,999.

Camera: While replacing the 10MP telephoto lens with 10x zoom for a 50MP lens with 5x zoom might seem like a downgrade, the higher-resolution photos help balance it out. You can still achieve 10x zoom by cropping those 50MP images, and the 100x Space Zoom remains impressive. Despite the changes, the Galaxy S24 Ultra is still a top camera phone, with better color accuracy than previous Samsung models.

Battery: The Galaxy S24 Ultra’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chip delivers 16 hours and 45 minutes of battery life. While its 45W wired charging is decent, it lags behind the OnePlus 12’s 80W speed.

Performance: The Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chip not only manages power well but also delivers excellent performance, outperforming the iPhone 15 Pro models in some tests, especially in graphics. Unlike other S24 models that use different chips depending on the region, every Galaxy S24 Ultra uses the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3, ensuring top Android performance no matter where you are.

3. Leading Smartphones in 2024: Google Pixel 8a

Google's Pixel 8a is the best phone you can get within the price range of Rs 127,999 to Rs 170,000. It offers one of the best cameras for its price and includes the AI features found in Google's flagship phones. 

Camera: The Pixel 8a has the same cameras as the Pixel 7a, with similar photo processing. While there aren't major improvements, the camera performance is still impressive, especially when compared to other phones in this price range. You may not need to upgrade if you have the Pixel 7a, but if you're coming from an older phone, you'll be amazed by the photo quality.

Battery: The Pixel 8a offers impressive battery life, lasting 11 hours and 21 minutes, the best for a Pixel in a while. Charging could be faster, but it does support wireless charging.

Performance: Pixel phones are known for their AI features, powered by Google's Tensor chip. With the Tensor G3, the Pixel 8a offers the same features as the flagship Pixel 8, including Magic Editor and Best Take photo-editing tools. The call management features are also worth noting. 

4. Leading Smartphones in 2024: iPhone 15

The iPhone 15 doesn't have all the features of the iPhone 15 Pro Max, but is the most affordable option in the iPhone 15 lineup. It offers strong performance and high-quality photos. It is available in Pakistan within price bracket of Rs 234,999  to Rs 376,999

Camera: iPhone 15 includes a 48MP main camera, allowing for more detailed 24MP photos, a big upgrade from the previous 12MP standard. The iPhone 15 also features a lossless 2x zoom mode, even without a telephoto lens, narrowing the gap between it and the Pro models. In a zoom comparison with the Galaxy S24, the iPhone 15 held its ground.

Battery: The iPhone 15 lasts over 11 hours on a charge, despite its smaller battery, but its 20W charging speed is still slow, unchanged from older models.

Performance: The iPhone 15 is powered by the A16 Bionic chipset, which was first introduced in the iPhone 14 Pro models. Despite being last year's chip, it still outperforms many Android phones with the latest Snapdragon 8 Gen 2. Whether multitasking or playing graphics-heavy games, the iPhone 15 can handle it all. While it will support the iOS 18 upgrade coming this fall, it doesn't have the necessary chipset for AI-powered Apple Intelligence features.

5. Leading Smartphones in 2024: Samsung Galaxy S24

The Galaxy S24, in price range of Rs 272,999 to Rs 289,999, offers top-tier features and the best value in Samsung's lineup, with the same Galaxy AI features as the pricier S24 Plus and Ultra. 

Camera: The cameras on the Galaxy S24 are similar to those on the S23, which is actually a good thing because Samsung's flagships are known for taking great photos and the S24 is no exception. It's also worth noting that the S24, unlike the iPhone, includes a telephoto lens even though it's the cheapest model in Samsung's flagship lineup.

Battery: The Galaxy S24 lasts 13 hours and 28 minutes, 3.5 hours longer than average, but its 25W charging speed is disappointing compared to other S24 models and the cheaper OnePlus 12.

Performance: In some regions, the S24 uses the Exynos 2400 chipset, which isn't as fast as the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3.

6. Leading Smartphones in 2024: OnePlus 12

The OnePlus 12 is a powerful alternative to pricier Android phones, with long battery life, fast charging, and a bigger, brighter display. It is available  in Pakistan within the price range of  Rs. Rs 204,999 to Rs.269,990

Camera: The telephoto lens on the OnePlus 12 now offers a 3x zoom, an improvement from the 2x zoom on previous models, thanks to the fourth-generation Hasselblad camera system. While low-light photos were a bit under-exposed, images in other conditions were sharp and well-composed.

Battery: The OnePlus 12 offers exceptional battery life, lasting over 17.5 hours, and features 80W wired and wireless charging, ensuring easy battery maintenance.

Performance: The Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset in the OnePlus 12 allows it to compete directly with top phones like the Galaxy S24. In graphics tests, it even outperforms the latest iPhones. The OnePlus 12 handles demanding games and multitasking with ease.

7. Leading Smartphones in 2024: iPhone 15 Pro

The iPhone 15 Pro is a great choice for those who want premium features without the higher cost of the Pro Max, offering most of Apple's latest tech in a more compact size. In Pakistan it is available within the price range of Rs. Rs 319,999 to Rs 678,499.

Camera: It's a bit disappointing that the iPhone 15 Pro only offers 3x zoom, which is the main difference between it and the iPhone 15 Pro Max. Despite this, it's still an excellent camera phone, particularly for night mode and portrait shots. The main, selfie, and ultrawide cameras are also top-notch.

Battery: The iPhone 15 Pro lasts just under 11 hours, the shortest in the iPhone 15 lineup, but still outperforms many Android phones.
