This is a targeted spot-treatment gel designed to address individual blemishes and breakout areas. Its formula aims to reduce visible blemishes, absorb excess oil, unclog pores and help prevent future breakouts — all without overly drying the surrounding skin.
The product is described as “maximum strength invisible gel” from Perricone MD’s Acne Relief line.
Visibly reduces blemishes and helps them mature more quickly.
Absorbs excess oil, helping reduce shine and build-up without stripping moisture.
Unclogs pores and supports a clearer-looking skin surface.
Provides spot-treatment strength with a formula that tries to balance efficacy + gentler support (versus extremely drying treatments).
Salicylic Acid 2.0% – The active ingredient listed for breakout treatment.
Lactic Acid & Succinic Acid – Short-chain acids that help exfoliate and fight acne-causing bacteria. According to the label: “Lactic & Succinic Acids: Attack Acne-Causing Bacteria … alongside salicylic acid.”
Tea Tree Oil (Melaleuca Alternifolia Leaf Oil) – Traditional essential oil known for cleansing and clarifying properties; helps with redness.
Citrulline – An alpha-amino acid included for soothing and reducing visible redness.
Fragrance-free (or minimal scent) gel texture. According to the official site, scent = “Fragrance-Free”.
Clean the skin thoroughly before applying.
Cover the entire affected area with a thin layer of the gel one to three times daily.
Because this treatment may cause dryness or peeling (common with acid/spot treatments), it’s advised: start with once daily, increase to 2-3 times if needed and if your skin tolerates it. If you experience bothersome dryness or peeling, reduce usage.
If you use other strong acne treatments concurrently (e.g., retinoids, benzoyl peroxide), be cautious of layering too much.
As always, follow with a gentle moisturizer, and if used in the morning, ensure sun protection (SPF) because the skin may be more sensitive.
