Data Center 500 Series
Kingston's 500 Series Data Center SSDs (DC500R/DC500M) are high-performance SATA (6Gbps) solid-state drives that utilize the most advanced TLC 3D NAND technology, designed for read-centered and mixed-use server workloads. They implement Kingston's strictest quality of service (QoS) requirements to ensure predictable random I/O performance, as well as low equally predictable latencies, across a wide variety of read and write workloads. They increase productivities in AI, machine learning, big data analytics, cloud computing, software-defined storage, operational databases (ODBs), database applications and data storage.
SSD Data Center Enterprise
Meeting enterprise reliability and continuous operation needs, Kingston Enterprise SSDs deliver storage capacity that combines performance predictability with rigorously proven and proven reliability. Companies need results to be able to output their products, market their solutions and fulfill their Service Level Contracts (SLAs). Kingston's DC500 Series SSDs have been designed to meet these expectations.
DC500R: Read-Centered SSD
DC500Rs are highly optimized SSDs designed for read-focused workloads, allowing data centers to select SSDs that support these features, rather than being forced to invest in the most expensive SSDs for write operations. It offers I/O speeds and response times (latency) that allow a data center to deploy them with confidence that they will ensure high levels of performance from the work application to the user interface. Typically, they are defined by applications that require real-time results. Processing large volumes of data, enabling the right results in various databases and web applications allows you to leverage the responsive performance of the DC500R.
Comprehensive data protection
DC500 Series SSDs incorporate comprehensive data path protection to help ensure that all user data transferred to SSDs is protected against transient errors. DC500R/DC500M units include power loss protection (PLP) (via power capacitors and firmware). This ensures that the data in processing is written to the NAND flash memory in case of an unforeseen power outage. In addition, the PLP ensures that the unit allocation table (FTL) is updated before power disconnect. These power outage protection methods reduce the likelihood of data loss and ensure that the unit is properly reset when reconnecting the system.
Quality of Service (QoS)
DC500 serial drives ensure consistency and predictability of latency (response time) and IOPS performance (I/O) during the processing of read and write workloads. Performance predictability is essential for web-hosted applications.
