The solid balm melts into a silky oil as it is massaged over dry skin, helping dissolve heavy makeup, excess sebum and oil-based impurities. When water is added, it transforms into a milky emulsion that rinses away comfortably with lukewarm water.

The formula contains gluconolactone, a polyhydroxy acid known as PHA. It provides gentle surface exfoliation to help remove dead skin-cell buildup and improve the appearance of rough texture and congested-looking pores. Hanskin positions the PHA version as a mild option for sensitive skin and maintaining the skin’s oil-and-moisture balance.

A blend of plant-derived oils—including sunflower, camellia, evening primrose, olive, apricot kernel and jojoba oils—helps condition the skin throughout the cleansing process. Vitamin E provides additional antioxidant and skin-conditioning support.

This cleansing balm works well as the first step of an evening double-cleansing routine. Follow it with a gentle water-based cleanser to remove any remaining sweat and water-based impurities.

How to Use

Using dry hands, scoop an appropriate amount of balm and apply it to a dry face. Gently massage over the skin, focusing on areas with makeup, sunscreen or visible buildup.

Wet your hands with a small amount of water and continue massaging until the balm turns milky. Rinse thoroughly with lukewarm water. Follow with a water-based face cleanser when double cleansing.

Important Information

The formula contains lavender, bergamot and orange peel oils, as well as naturally occurring fragrance components such as limonene and linalool. Sensitive or fragrance-reactive skin should perform a patch test before full use.
