Experience premium gaming audio with the Audeze Maxwell 2 Wireless Gaming Headset for Xbox. Introduced in 2026, this updated model combines large planar magnetic drivers, ultra-low-latency wireless performance, advanced microphone processing and more than 80 hours of battery life.
The Xbox edition is designed for Xbox Series X|S and also supports compatible PC, Mac, PlayStation, Nintendo Switch, Switch 2 and mobile-device setups through its available wireless, USB-C, Bluetooth and 3.5mm connection options. Platform-specific features and connection methods may vary.
The headset uses large 90mm planar magnetic drivers with Fluxor magnet arrays, Fazor phase-management technology and ultra-thin Uniforce diaphragms. This advanced driver design delivers detailed sound, accurate positional information and controlled bass for competitive gaming, cinematic titles, music and entertainment.
Its frequency response extends from 10Hz to 50kHz, with less than 0.1% total harmonic distortion at 100dB. The built-in professional-grade amplification provides powerful output without requiring an external headphone amplifier.
Audezeβs SLAM acoustic technology improves low-frequency impact and spatial presentation. Explosions, engines and cinematic effects can sound deeper and more powerful while footsteps, dialogue and environmental details remain clear.
This balanced sound makes the headset suitable for first-person shooters, open-world games, racing titles, movies and high-resolution music listening.
The included USB-C wireless dongle supports ultra-low-latency audio at resolutions up to 24-bit/96kHz. This connection is designed for gaming, where accurate audio and minimal delay are essential.
The headset also supports USB-C digital audio and a 3.5mm analogue connection. Bluetooth 5.3 provides convenient wireless listening with support for Multipoint, LE Audio, Auracast, LC3, LC3plus, LDAC, AAC and SBC.
Important: The primary ultra-low-latency gaming connection is provided by the USB-C wireless dongle or wired USB-C connection rather than standard Bluetooth.
This Xbox edition supports wireless operation on compatible Xbox consoles using the included Xbox dongle. It also includes access to Dolby Atmos for Headphones on Xbox and Windows, providing spatial audio that can improve the perception of direction, distance and height in supported games and media.
Game and chat audio balance can be adjusted on supported Xbox, Windows and macOS systems.
The detachable hypercardioid boom microphone uses high-bandwidth FILTER AI noise-removal technology to reduce distracting background sounds during gaming, streaming and online meetings.
The headset also includes internal beamforming microphones for voice communication when the detachable boom microphone is not being used. A removable pop filter helps reduce breath and plosive sounds during chat.
Enjoy over 80 hours of wireless playback under standard testing conditions. A quick 20-minute USB-C charge restores approximately 25% of the battery, providing up to 24 hours of additional playback.
A complete charge takes approximately two hours when using a compatible power source.
The Maxwell 2 features a wider, ventilated suspension head strap and enlarged ear cushions designed to distribute its weight more comfortably during extended gaming sessions.
Magnetically attached side plates can be removed and replaced with compatible ReSkin designs, allowing users to customise the appearance of the headset. The upgraded ear cushions are also easier to remove and replace.
The headset works with the updated Audeze application on supported Windows, macOS, Android and iOS devices. Users can manage equaliser settings, microphone noise reduction, sidetone, volume behaviour, firmware updates and other supported controls.
Connection method, spatial audio, game-and-chat mixing and microphone functions may differ by platform.
This listing is for the standard Maxwell 2 Xbox Edition, not the separate Maxwell 2 ANC model. It does not include active noise cancellation.
The headset weighs approximately 560g, making it heavier than many traditional gaming headsets. Comfort and fit may vary according to head size and personal preference.
Use the correct Xbox dongle supplied with this headset. Do not pair it with a PlayStation-edition Maxwell 2 dongle, as incompatible firmware pairing may damage the headset.
