Upgrade a compatible television with fast and convenient streaming using the Amazon Fire TV Stick HD 2nd Gen, released in 2026. This compact media player connects directly to an available HDMI port and delivers movies, television shows, live content, music and supported apps in up to 1080p Full HD at 60fps.
The 2026 model is Amazonβs fastest HD streaming stick to date, with average performance over 30% faster than the previous HD generation. Its redesigned, slimmer body is approximately 30% narrower, making it easier to connect behind wall-mounted televisions or carry while travelling.
Built-in dual-band Wi-Fi 6 supports smoother streaming on compatible wireless networks, while Bluetooth 5.3 allows connection to supported headphones, speakers and game controllers. The device includes 8GB of internal storage for Fire TV apps and system content.
The included Alexa Voice Remote lets users search for entertainment by voice and control compatible TV, soundbar and receiver functions, including power and volume. Dedicated app buttons offer quick access to selected streaming platforms.
The updated Fire TV interface organises movies, television programmes, live content, sports and news into dedicated categories. Users can access services such as Prime Video, Netflix, YouTube, Disney+, Apple TV and other supported apps; subscriptions and regional availability may vary.
The new Direct Power design can receive power from a compatible televisionβs USB port through the included short USB-C cable, helping reduce cable clutter and removing the need for a separate wall adapter in supported setups.
A wall power adapter and HDMI extender are not included with the standard package. The HDMI extender is available separately.
This is an HD streaming device and does not provide 4K output. A television with an available HDMI input and an internet connection are required.
App, voice-assistant, live-TV and streaming-service availability depends on the selected Amazon account region. Separate subscriptions may be required. Alexa+ on the US model requires an eligible US-based Amazon account, US English settings and either Prime membership or a supported Alexa+ subscription.
